Maybell Quantum Industries in Ontario is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to configure and optimize production lines for manufacturing dilution refrigerators and to lead a hands-on team of engineers and technicians in assembly and fabrication of complex equipment.

You will develop and improve manufacturing processes, implement quality and safety systems, drive continuous improvement, create work instructions, and collaborate with design teams to enhance DFM while maintaining aggressive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years in manufacturing or production environment.
• 3+ years leading a manufacturing line.
• 3+ years of management experience.
• Strong CAD & mechanical design skills.
• Hands-on assembly and fabrication experience.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead Manufacturing Engineer

We are looking for engineers who want to see their ideas and innovations become the products that define the next generation of computing. Successful candidates will have experience in a manufacturing environment and be able to get hands on, building and testing physical hardware (we’ll help you come up to speed on the quantum side of things).

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering or equivalent field
• 8+ years of work experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• 3+ years of work experience leading a manufacturing line
• 3+ years of management experience
• Self-starter who can thrive in ambiguity with ability to drive results independently and through team members
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills
• Exceptional hands-on assembly and fabrication skills
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills
• Strong CAD & mechanical design skills
• Team player with strong written and verbal communication skills

Desired Qualifications

• Experience in any of the following areas: vacuum systems, leak checking, thermal systems, brazing, welding, valves, pumps, pneumatics
• Experience in managing quality systems
• Machine shop and fabrication skills

Base salary: $115,000/yr - $145,000/yr
