The Opportunity

Our client is an international banking and financial institution with divisions across the Americas, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. They are establishing their first Canadian office and anticipate significant growth.

Role Overview

The IT Transformation Lead is responsible for ensuring a smooth transition of Applications and IT infrastructure services, as well as assessing, designing, and delivering transformation projects with measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement business transformation strategies
2. Guide organizational leaders through change initiatives
3. Lead change management projects and define desired outcomes
4. Engage stakeholders to address barriers to change
5. Assess team structures to facilitate change
6. Collaborate with IT service providers on transformation programs and oversee project execution
7. Monitor and evaluate the outcomes of transformation projects
8. Implement process changes and change management practices
9. Review and optimize operating models, methods, processes, and tools
10. Support organizational development, employee engagement, and team growth
11. Assist in hiring decisions and staff development
12. Design and deliver on-the-job training programs
13. Ensure compliance with quality management systems
14. Promote innovation and continuous improvement
15. Focus on productivity, efficiency, and cost savings
16. Adhere to legal, regulatory, and internal compliance standards

Qualifications

1. Extensive experience in IT service delivery within a global, multicultural environment
2. Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
3. Creative problem-solving abilities to address organizational challenges
4. Ability to challenge existing processes and the status quo
5. Knowledge of banking, especially investment banking
6. Understanding of Applications and IT infrastructure for IT delivery centers
7. Knowledge of IT security practices
8. Experience with investment banking products
9. Strong presentation skills for management audiences
10. Bachelor's degree in a related field
