Job description

Lead HVAC Installer-Journeyman:

Responsible for installations of new HVAC units and materials according to specifications and established safety guidelines. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in the area of specialty.

Requirements:

  1. Requires minimum 4 years of experience in the field. EPA Certification A PLUS.
  2. NATE Certification requested.
  3. Continued Education is expected.
  4. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  5. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  6. Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
  7. Leads and directs the work of others.
  8. Reports to immediate supervisor, Foreman.
  9. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  10. The candidate should be able to think outside the box.
  11. Shall lead by example and arrive on time ready to work.

Other duties include:

  1. Daily scheduling with Foreman.
  2. Works well with our Team but also a “Self Starter”- can work with very limited supervision.
  3. Extensive Customer/Contractor Relations.
  4. Following through/updating job schedules.
  5. Orchestrating your crew deployment on a daily basis, in a timely manner.
  6. Communicate with foreman/office as to job status.
  7. Assuring weekly crew member’s time entered daily– evaluating yellow job files for completeness daily.
  8. Sheet metal fabrication possible.
  9. Ability to perform all Journeyman Duties.
  10. Familiarity and ability to diagnose HVAC equipment and recognize equipment needs and/or repairs if necessary.
