Job summary

Ledcor Construction, Inc. is seeking a supervisor to manage highway maintenance crews on Alberta projects. You will operate heavy equipment, coordinate with leadership, and ensure quality and safety across outdoor work in all weather conditions.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and advancement within Ledcor's diversified construction operations. Local candidates preferred; various shifts including nights may apply, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1, 2 or 3 license with air endorsement and a clear 3-year driver's abstract.
• Prior supervisory experience in highway maintenance or related field is required.
• Snow plow experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of provincial and/or municipal highway maintenance specifications.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer skills are an asset.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol and audiogram testing.

Responsibilities

• Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required.
• Maintain Alberta Provincial Highways year-round, including assisting with Labourer duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.).
• Work outside in all weather conditions.
• Assist leadership with daily tasks including safety toolbox meetings, equipment inspection, and road condition inspection reports.
• Support Foreperson in the planning of work to meet contractual milestones.
• Monitor the quality of work performed by the crew.
• Help ensure health, safety, and environment related concerns are addressed promptly.
