Job summary

Ledcor Highways Ltd. (LHL) is seeking team players for winter and seasonal maintenance of Ontario highways, with year-round contracts across Ontario. AZ or DZ license holders are encouraged to apply and will be valued for safety, community, and career growth.

You will assist the Foreperson, monitor work quality, and operate equipment, supporting planning and ensuring safety on site. Local applicants preferred; shifts may include nights and on-call, with CLAC-benefits and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Must possess a valid AZ or DZ driver's license with air endorsement.
• Must provide a copy of a 3-year driver's abstract.
• Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist Foreperson with daily tasks including safety toolbox meetings, equipment inspection, and road condition inspection reports
• Support Foreperson in the planning of work to meet contractual milestones
• Monitor the quality of work performed by the crew
• Operate equipment on work sites as needed
• Help ensure health, safety, and environment related concerns are addressed promptly
• Work outside in all weather conditions

Essential Responsibilities

Work Conditions

• Local applicants will be given preference due to the location of the work
• As we respond to various weather patterns, some shift work, on-call, and night shift will be required
• Work schedules will consist of either 5 consecutive days followed by 2 days off or 6 consecutive days followed by 1 day off, with daily shifts lasting 8 to 12 hours (Shop specific)

Compensation

$23.45 - $33.50
This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
