Job summary

Toromont Cat in Sudbury, ON is seeking a Lead Hand, Heavy Equipment - Shop Technician to manage a team servicing Caterpillar equipment in our shop. You will plan, troubleshoot, repair, and prepare service reports for customers while emphasizing safety and quality.

Ideal candidate has 5–10 years of technician experience, post-secondary education, and a valid 421A Technician License; the role offers full-time permanent work with a competitive hourly wage and total rewards package.

Responsibilities

• Oversee tech’s assigned to them, acting as intermediaries between employees and supervisors.

• Monitor work flow, identify tool requirements, and communicate findings to supervisors.
• Accountable for their team’s ability to meet productivity goals set by supervisors.
• Assist employees facing with diagnosing challenges and identify parts conflicts etc.

Description

Toromont Cat is looking for a Shop Technician, Heavy Equipment to join our team! As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for servicing a particular line of Caterpillar equipment and components in our shop. Your day will include planning, trouble shooting and repairing, as well as, preparing necessary service reports for customers. We are looking for people who are interested in diverse product range. Our ideal candidate is an enthusiastic team player who will focus on safety and customer satisfaction in every job.
