Job Title: Lead Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer

About The Position
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Lead Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer to join a dynamic and collaborative team. In this role, you will be at the heart of designing, developing, and configuring complex Guidewire solutions. Your technical expertise and leadership will play a key role in supporting the team and mentoring junior developers while delivering robust solutions for the property and casualty insurance sector.
Requirements And Technical Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 9 years of proven experience in Guidewire application development
- Expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter configuration (mandatory)
- Knowledge of Guidewire BillingCenter configuration (a plus)
- Strong skills in GOSU language and experience using Guidewire tools and accelerators, Guidewire Batch, and predefined plugins
- Proficiency in Agile software development using Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, etc.
- Solid understanding of the Property & Casualty insurance domain
- Guidewire Cloud Certification is required
- 7 years of hands-on experience with Guidewire development
- 7 years of experience coding RESTful APIs
Objectives and Deliverables
- Analyze software requirements efficiently
- Design system architecture and technical documentation
- Define screens, business rules, and workflow updates
- Write, configure, package, and deploy Guidewire code
- Implement and maintain coding standards
- Perform unit testing and debugging
- Participate in peer code reviews
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to team growth
Key Responsibilities
- Develop robust solutions within Guidewire PolicyCenter
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine functional requirements
- Provide technical expertise throughout the development lifecycle
- Support and guide junior team members
- Ensure high standards of code quality, performance, and security
Assets
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies
- Ability to read and reverse-engineer code in other languages
- Team-oriented mindset with leadership capabilities
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
