Position Details

We are hiring a Lead Golang Software Engineer at any seniority level, focused on delivering high-quality engineering solutions, leading technical designs, and mentoring colleagues. This role involves working on various open-source projects and integrating technologies within our Commercial Systems unit, which includes teams like Billing, Contracts, Livepatch, and Ubuntu Pro.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop engineering solutions leveraging Golang.
2. Lead technical designs, code reviews, and implementation.
3. Deploy and operate services developed by the team.
4. Coach, mentor, and provide career development feedback to colleagues.
5. Promote and evangelize best engineering and organizational practices.

Qualifications

• Exceptional academic record from high school and university or a compelling alternative narrative.
• Experience with software development in Golang.
• Professional proficiency in English, with excellent presentation skills.
• Result-oriented with a personal drive to meet commitments.
• Willingness to travel internationally twice a year, for up to two weeks per trip.

Nice-to-Have Skills
