Job summary

Octasic is seeking a Team Lead and Technical Manager - Functional Testing to oversee the functional testing department in Montreal. This role blends technical leadership with team management and contributes to the strategic direction of electronic product testing activities.

Reporting to the Department Director, the successful candidate will guide testing programs from development through production, mentor engineers, and help plan resources and investments for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field, or a DEC with significant experience.
• Specialization in electronics preferred.
• 8–10 years in functional testing of electronic products.
• Fluent in French and strong English proficiency (min 8/10).
• Experience leading teams and coordinating cross-functional groups.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and oversee all functional testing activities from development to production support.
• Ensure quality, reliability and efficiency of testing methods and systems.
• Lead and develop the functional testing team and set priorities.
• Serve as technical reference for complex board and system testing issues.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, QA and project management to integrate testing in development cycles.
