Job summary

RBC is seeking a Lead Full Stack Engineer to develop and maintain the digital wealth management platform. The role focuses on building enterprise APIs, database solutions, and UI components using modern cloud-native technologies.

You will design RESTful APIs with C#/.NET, optimize MS SQL databases, and implement responsive interfaces with Angular. Cloud deployment, security, and architecture best practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• 7+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on C# and .NET ecosystems.
• 3+ years of professional experience building large-scale applications/APIs in C#.
• Languages: C#, TypeScript, SQL; Frameworks: ASP.NET MVC, Angular; API Design: RESTful APIs; Security: OAuth; DB: MS SQL

What is the opportunity?

Lead Full Stack Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining the digital wealth management platform. This role involves building enterprise APIs and database solutions as well as working on developing user interfaces using modern cloud-native technologies.

What will you do?

Enterprise API & Database Development

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using C# and .NET framework.
• Architect and optimize MS SQL database solutions for performance and scalability.
• Implement highly interactive user interfaces with rich visualizations using ASP.NET MVC as Angular.
• Implement containerization and deployment strategies for cloud environments.
• Ensure API security, documentation, and adherence to enterprise standards.

Cross-Functional Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
• Develop solutions in collaboration with solution architects.
• Engage in code reviews to drive code quality and manage tech debt.
• Break down complex tasks and come up with roadmap for implementation.
• Research and implement new technologies to improve development efficiency.
• Participate in agile sprints and technical design reviews.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• 7+ yearsof software development experience, with a strong focus onC#and.NETecosystems.
• 3+ years of professional experience buildinglarge-scale applications/APIsinC#.
• Technical Proficiency:
  • Languages: C#, TypeScript, SQL.
  • Frameworks: ASP.NET MVC, Angular, or similar SPA frameworks.
  • API Development: Expertise in designing and implementingRESTful APIsand API frameworks.
  • Security: Preferred experience withOAuthfor API security.
  • Database Optimization: Strong knowledge ofMS SQL query optimization.
• Strong grasp ofsoftware architecture,design patterns, and industry best practices for scalable systems.
• Demonstrated ability to implementbrowser-based user interfaceswith a focus on responsiveness and usability.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Apache Spark or distributed data processing frameworks.
• Experience in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure or AWS or GCP).
• Agile: Scrum/Kanban methodologies, Git version control.
