Job description

Leads successful on-site installation, servicing, and repair processes of complex HVAC / BMS equipment and systems without direct supervision. Follows detailed work instructions and amends outdated or incorrect instructions with the help of Engineering teams. Improves training guides and documentation. Leads continuous improvement initiatives in the field to address administrative difficulties related to delivery and installation of equipment. Trains customers on proper usage, troubleshooting, and basic repair procedures for complex equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Job location will be in Campbell River and Courtenay, BC
• Perform daily Preventive Maintenance on BMS / DDC systems
• Troubleshoot BMS / DDC systems, requiring understanding of HVAC systems
• Replace or upgrade existing BMS components, including actuators, sensors, controllers, etc.
• Collaborate with Energy Engineers to tune BMS control sequences periodically
• Work with Site Electricians and Facility Technicians on daily calls
• Provide reports on System Health and Lifecycle Management of BMS to Facility Managers

YOU MUST HAVE:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, and peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques
• 3+ years of experience in BMS / DDC systems
• An associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or a similar field is preferred.

The annual base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000. Please note that this salary information is a general guideline.
