Job Description: Lead Enterprise Architect at Kardium Inc.

Location: Burnaby, BC (Hybrid work arrangement)

Company Overview: Kardium Inc., based in Burnaby, BC, is pioneering a groundbreaking medical device for diagnosing and treating atrial fibrillation, a common heart rhythm disorder. Our mission is to deliver the best treatment for atrial fibrillation with our innovative Globe Pulsed Field System. We are now entering a pivotal phase focusing on regulatory approvals and market launch.

Your Role:

As the Lead Enterprise Architect, you will be crucial in shaping the architecture and scalability of our Business Application ecosystem, including ERP (Dynamics 365), CRM, Field Services, Power Platform, IoT, AI, and more. You will collaborate with senior leadership and IT teams to design solutions that enhance operations, compliance, and growth, supporting our rapid expansion and complex manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop & Own Enterprise Architecture: Design and maintain a comprehensive architecture integrating all core business applications.
2. Establish a Cohesive Microsoft Ecosystem: Ensure seamless data flow and interoperability across Microsoft platforms.
3. Drive IoT & AI Innovation: Architect IoT solutions and leverage AI for predictive maintenance, automation, and analytics.
4. Align Business & IT: Collaborate with leadership to develop a technology roadmap supporting business objectives.
5. Lead System Integration & Optimization: Define strategies for integrating third-party applications and automation tools.
6. Cloud & Security Strategy: Maximize Azure services usage while ensuring security and compliance.
7. Support Application Implementation: Oversee the deployment of Microsoft Dynamics 365, MasterControl QMS, and other applications.
8. Foster Internal Capabilities: Develop internal expertise through mentoring and training.
9. Optimize System Performance: Ensure high reliability, scalability, and regulatory compliance of systems.

Qualifications:

• Deep experience in enterprise architecture, especially with Microsoft applications.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure, D365, Power Platform, and security frameworks.
• Experience in manufacturing, medical devices, or highly regulated industries.
• Strong skills in system integration, data architecture, IoT, and AI/ML.
• Proven leadership in technical strategy and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts to stakeholders.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary range: $155,000 - $195,000 CAD annually, plus stock options, comprehensive medical/dental coverage, flexible work days, and supportive benefits for family and professional growth.
