The Opportunity:

Lead Engineer, Water & Wastewater Treatment. This exciting role will work on a diverse range of water and wastewater infrastructure projects across British Columbia. The preferred location for this role is our Vancouver office. Other WSP locations in British Columbia will be considered.

What you can expect to do here:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, from planning and design to implementation and commissioning. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a diverse team of professionals, including engineers, technicians, and support staff.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients, understand their needs, and provide solutions to their technical challenges. Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drive innovation and creativity in developing water and wastewater treatment and pumping solutions. Utilize WSP's extensive resources to find cutting-edge approaches that address complex challenges effectively.
  • Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and financial performance. Optimize resource utilization and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Work closely with other departments and disciplines within WSP to ensure a holistic approach to project delivery. Foster cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing.

What you’ll bring to WSP:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s Degree from an accredited University.
  • Registration in good standing as Professional Engineer in British Columbia, or eligibility to be registered.
  • 8+ years of engineering experience in municipal water and wastewater treatment and pumping, encompassing planning, design, and successful commissioning of innovative projects.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, Plant 3D, WaterCAD, SewerCAD and/or ArcGIS would be an asset.

Compensation

Salary range (in British Columbia): $113,500 - $156,000.

The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. The salary range provided in this job posting may be subject to change for business purposes.
