Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a talented Lead Engineer - Senior Planner to join our team. In this role, you will develop, implement, and maintain cost control, and provide planning/scheduling functions on large projects.

What You'll Be Doing:
  1. Provide guidance, direction, and assistance for resolving complex project control problems.
  2. Analyze, evaluate, and forecast current project status against the baseline schedule.
  3. Assess impacts of design or construction changes and schedule slippages.
  4. Report schedule status to project and company management, as well as to the client.
  5. Understand and apply engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, concepts, and relationships.
  6. Develop and maintain critical path logic networks and bar charts.
  7. Customize project control systems to meet specific project needs.
  8. Gather historical data to support realistic future planning and forecasting.
  9. Supervise and review performance of lower-level Project Control Engineers/Specialists and support staff.
  10. Provide input on staffing requirements to Sr. Project Control Staff.
  11. Perform other related responsibilities as appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience) with typically 18+ years of relevant experience.
  • Basic engineering knowledge in electrical, mechanical, civil, or related fields; proficient in Project Controls software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining planning/scheduling functions on large projects.
  • Fully qualified professional with technical expertise and the ability to complete complex tasks independently.
