As a red seal-certified electrician, you will be responsible for the electrical wiring duties to assist in the assembly of automated packaging equipment.

Are you excited about this work?

  • Lead electrical build projects on the shop floor, overseeing day-to-day tasks and ensuring timelines, safety, and quality standards are met.
  • Provide hands-on support with electrical wiring and installation for custom automated packaging equipment.
  • Mentor, train, and support electrical apprentices and junior electricians in alignment with our development and safety goals.
  • Interpret and work from electrical schematics and engineering specifications.
  • Oversee the installation of electrical systems, including conduit, panels, and equipment such as motors, transformers, and generators.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during assembly and testing phases.
  • Participate in equipment testing, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and work collaboratively with other trades.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, promoting 5S standards and best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement by recommending upgrades and system enhancements.
  • Occasionally assist with electrical maintenance of the building as needed.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Mechanical, and Project Management teams.

Travel:

  • Occasional travel within North America will be required for on-site equipment support or installation supervision.

  • 442A or 309A with previous experience in the automation industry.
  • 10 years of experience as an Electrician (including apprenticeship).
  • Previous leadership experience overseeing projects or teams in a manufacturing or automation environment.
  • Strong knowledge of AC/DC industrial wiring and electrical systems

  • Completion of electronics coursework related to PLCs (PLC wiring knowledge an asset)

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics with a high degree of accuracy

  • Experience with pneumatics is a strong asset

  • Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail

  • Commitment to safety, mentorship, and continuous improvement
