Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems.
• Pr. Eng. registration is desirable.
• 9+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience with renewables (solar, wind).
• Experience leading engineering teams and managing complex design projects.
• Strong knowledge of power system analysis, protection schemes, and grid codes.
• Proficiency in electrical design software (AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, PSS/E).
• Knowledge of substation design, cable sizing, and grounding systems.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills; ability to work in a hybrid environment.
• Experience in Kimberley region or similar project sites is an advantage.

Based in Kimberley, Northern Cape, this role will provide technical leadership and direction for the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for solar, wind, and hybrid energy projects. You will ensure all designs meet stringent safety, performance, and regulatory standards, while also mentoring a team of electrical engineers. The role requires a deep understanding of power systems, grid integration, and renewable energy technologies. Key Responsibilities

• Proven experience in leading engineering teams and managing complex design projects.
• In-depth knowledge of power system analysis, protection schemes, and grid codes.
• Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, PSS/E).
• Strong understanding of substation design, cable sizing, and grounding systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, managing both on-site and remote responsibilities.
