Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of relevant experience, a PE credential in BC/AB/MB, and strong leadership, communication, and project-delivery skills. Expect travel to site visits and collaboration with pre-construction and construction teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or recognized degree in electrical engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of related experience in multifamily residential or construction.
• Minimum 7 years of leadership/management experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in BC, AB, or MB (other provinces are an asset).
• High-rise design experience is an asset.
• Experience as the electrical EOR for multi-story buildings in Canada.
• Ability to travel for site visits.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, PDF editing software, and electrical design drafting software (AutoCAD, Revit).
• Demonstrated leadership experience and exceptional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical engineering team (2-5 direct reports).
• Stay current with electrical engineering practices and trends.
• Foster team growth and make personnel decisions with the Director.
• Ensure effective project delivery and coordinate team activities.
• Resolve technical issues and collaborate with pre-construction and construction teams.
• Develop and maintain standardized electrical specifications and documents.
• Provide peer review, mentorship, and serve as the electrical Engineer of Record (EOR) for multifamily developments.
• Analyze and design electrical systems, oversee drawings, and attend project meetings.
• Support construction by answering RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and issuing necessary documentation.
• Conduct site inspections and participate in constructability reviews.
• Coordinate drawings between disciplines and perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation: up to $175k, salary will depend on experience & education
