Job summary

Magic Mountain Childcare in Airdrie is seeking a dedicated childcare professional for a Mat Leave Coverage position. The role requires strong understanding of child development, engagement skills, and ability to build positive relationships with children and colleagues.

Alberta Child Care certification levels 2 or 3, current police record check and first aid are required. The successful candidate will lead engaging activities, maintain safety and cleanliness, and communicate with families

Qualifications

• Prior childcare/daycare experience is required.
• Level 2 or 3 Child Care Certification (or equivalent)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Professional, adaptable, and fluent in English
• Proficiency in computer applications and administrative systems
• Knowledge of Alberta Child Care Licensing Regulations (preferred)

About the Role

We are seeking an individual for our Sierra Spring Magic Mountain location in Airdrie who possesses a strong understanding of child development, exceptional engagement skills, and a dedication to fostering positive relationships with both children and colleagues. The ideal candidate will be dependable, adaptable, fluent in English, and exhibit outstanding communication and multitasking abilities. These individuals must have strong leadership and classroom management skills. Prior experience is required, and candidates must possess Alberta Child Care certification levels 2, or 3, along with current criminal record check (with vulnerable sector search) and first aid certification.
