As part of this journey, we’re looking for a passionate and strategic Lead, Early Careers & Diversity to help shape and advance our talent pipeline. If you're excited about developing the next generation of professionals and championing inclusive hiring, we want to hear from you.

About The Role

As the Lead, Early Careers & Diversity, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing and leading our early talent programs—recruiting and supporting interns, co-op students, recent graduates, and early-career professionals. You’ll also take the lead on embedding equity, inclusion, diversity, accessibility, and anti-racism (EIDA-R) practices into our recruitment strategy. This is a unique opportunity to create impact while working in a collaborative, values-driven environment.

What You’ll Do

Early Talent Strategy & Program Development

  • Develop and execute strategies to attract students and new graduates aligned with Ontario Health’s long- and short-term workforce plans.
  • Build and strengthen partnerships with colleges and universities to connect academic programs with career opportunities.
  • Create and promote a compelling campus brand through job fairs, events, and campaigns to position Ontario Health as an employer of choice.
  • Design and oversee an engaging onboarding experience for students, including office tours, hackathons, volunteer events, and networking sessions.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate program success and continuously improve.
  • Launch and manage a Brand Ambassador program to empower students as on-campus advocates.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, applying insights to enhance program strategies.
  • Present updates and recommendations to leadership, ensuring alignment and visibility.
  • Support broader Talent Acquisition activities during peak recruitment cycles.

Diversity & Inclusive Recruitment

  • Collaborate with the TA leadership team to embed EIDA-R principles into all recruitment practices.
  • Develop tools, training, and guidance to support equitable hiring processes.
  • Use social media and HR tech platforms to reach and attract equity-deserving communities.
  • Partner with internal teams such as Indigenous Relations to inform inclusive hiring approaches.
  • Build external partnerships with community organizations, newcomer networks, and advocacy groups.
  • Work with HR Analytics to track and report on diversity hiring metrics.
  • Contribute to updating EIDA-R hiring policies and guidelines.

What You Bring

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience developing or supporting early talent programs in a fast-paced environment.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience with EIDA-R initiatives within a Talent Acquisition or HR function.
  • Proven relationship-builder with experience engaging post-secondary institutions and underrepresented communities.
  • Skilled in using social media and marketing tools to support employer branding.
  • Event management and public speaking experience, including delivering workshops and presentations.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills; comfortable speaking to large audiences.
  • Exceptional time management and ability to juggle multiple priorities independently.
  • Collaborative mindset with excellent relationship management abilities.
  • Proficient in tools such as Applicant Tracking Systems, video recruitment platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, and Google Analytics.
  • Experience with project management and delivering results in a complex, public sector or healthcare setting.
  • Creative approach to employer branding through career sites, digital ads, and video content.
  • Flexibility to attend events outside of regular business hours and travel to offsite locations when required.
