Your Role: We seek a Lead Big Data Developer with expertise in Databricks and a passion for data engineering. You will lead the implementation of our data platform built around Databricks, Delta Lake, Apache Spark, and Airflow, supporting a team in designing scalable and sustainable solutions and fostering a collaborative environment.

Your Main Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the point person for Databricks and big data processing;
  • Mentor and support a team of developers;
  • Advance engineering practices and promote innovation;
  • Design and implement data lakehouse architectures;
  • Develop and optimize data pipelines using Databricks tools;
  • Automate workflows with Airflow or Databricks tools;
  • Contribute to environment administration: access management, configuration, cost, and performance;
  • Define data governance, security, and privacy policies;
  • Ensure data quality, traceability, and observability;
  • Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders;
  • Mentor team members and promote an inclusive work environment.

What You Bring To The Team:

  • Experience with Databricks in a production environment (preferably on Azure);
  • Mastery of Spark, Delta Lake, Airflow, Python, SQL, Git;
  • Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines and large-scale data modeling;
  • Understanding of Unity Catalog, role management, multi-user environments;
  • Analytical mindset, initiative, and sound technical decision-making;

Additional Assets:

  • Experience in media, entertainment, or digital production;
  • Proficiency with real-time processing tools (Kafka, Delta Live Tables);
  • Knowledge of deploying ML models in Databricks (MLflow, AutoML, Feature Store);
  • Experience with DevOps/DataOps tools (Terraform, GitHub Actions).
