Manages the Information Technology (IT) infrastructure within an organization, including the physical configuration, installation, maintenance, and upgrades of server applications and hardware. Requires knowledge and understanding of Nasdaq data and its relation to database systems. Manages systems to leverage existing technologies and improve the overall system. Collaborates closely with network, systems, storage, and development teams.

Designs, develops, modifies, adapts, and implements short- and long-term IT solutions through new and existing applications, systems architecture, network systems, and application infrastructure. Reviews system requirements and business processes; codes, tests, debugs, and implements software solutions.

1. Manages database management systems, including design, testing, implementation, maintenance, and administration across multiple platforms.
2. Designs summary or aggregation tables to support analyses across disciplines.
3. Directs the work of other DBAs and developers to identify data relationships and requirements.
4. Implements database support tools, tables, dictionaries, and recovery and backup procedures.
5. Analyzes, designs, creates, and implements databases, including data models, schemas, access methods, and security measures.
6. Develops relationships with database software vendors and external support for software upgrades and troubleshooting.
7. For Data Warehouse Specialists: Leads data warehouse and data mart projects, designing and implementing data mining tools and analyses.

Education Required: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Experience Required: At least 10 years.

Special Qualifications: Microsoft, Oracle, or other professional DBA certification.
