Responsibilities

• Learn our data, technologies, and platforms in the first 3-6 months, supporting our advanced analytics team to become a data expert.
• Develop new tools, analytical techniques, and products.
• Create new attributes to enhance business decisions, including exploratory analysis of new data sources and expanding the data lake.
• Design features to meet the needs of scoring and modeling teams, improving predictive power.
• Manage projects by defining requirements, planning resources, and designing analytical solutions.
• Provide insights and recommendations to solve complex business problems.
• Ensure quality control of analytical outputs created by junior team members.
• Mentor and coach junior and intermediate data scientists.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data science and analysis experience with Python, SQL, R, or SAS in a large data environment.
• Proven experience designing and implementing analytical solutions to real-world problems.
• Experience working with credit or fraud data.
• At least 1 year of experience exploring and assessing new technologies for organizational implementation.
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Physics.

Preferred Skills

• Background in financial services, credit, telecommunications, or utilities.
• Experience with advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics.
• Leadership and mentorship experience.
• Experience deploying models in cloud environments like AWS or GCP.
• Master’s degree in a business-related field or MBA.
