We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Data Scientist to join our growing Data Analytics team. This role requires a strong background in data analysis, statistical modeling, and effective communication of complex analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences, with a focus on our profitable Search Engine Monetization business.
Responsibilities include:
- Analyzing data from search engine marketing campaigns, including keyword performance, ad spend, and conversions.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify data-driven opportunities and develop strategies to leverage data assets.
- Developing and maintaining analytical dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators and provide insights to stakeholders.
- Analyzing data trends to identify improvement opportunities and making recommendations to leadership.
- Utilizing statistical and machine learning techniques to extract insights and build predictive models.
- Training and mentoring junior data analysts on data analysis techniques and best practices.
- Staying updated with industry trends in search engine marketing and data analysis.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or related fields.
- 8+ years of experience in data analysis and visualization of large datasets.
- Expertise in modeling and statistical techniques for complex business problems.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python, including Jupyter notebooks and frameworks like Pandas and NumPy.
- Knowledge of industry KPIs (CPA, CPC, ROAS) and experience establishing new KPIs.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage with leaders at all levels.
- Experience with data storage systems like Snowflake, BigQuery, AWS, and optimizing their usage.
- Skilled in data visualization tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or similar.
- Strong ability to access and combine data from multiple sources (APIs, databases, etc.).

The base salary range in Canada for this full-time position is $170,300 - $212,900 + bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges depend on role, level, location, skills, experience, and education. Specific salary details will be discussed during the hiring process. Our headquarters is in Marina del Rey, CA, with offices in Bellevue, WA, and Guelph, ON.
