In this role, you will be responsible for driving the Finance & Actuarial data product strategy, aligning stakeholders, and overseeing the successful delivery of improvements to data platforms, processes, and system integration. You will be part of the Data & AI organization, which oversees Data and AI-related products and projects across RBC Insurance. This role reports to the Director of Data Product Management and will work alongside a team of Product Managers and Product Owners to ensure alignment, support, and consistency across all initiatives.

This is a highly cross-functional role requiring a strong understanding of enterprise data architecture as well as fluency in finance and accounting operations. The ideal candidate brings product leadership experience in data environments and is comfortable operating in complex, multi-stakeholder organizations.

What Will You Do?

  • Define and execute the data product roadmap for the Finance and Actuarial Transformation program, align with IFRS 17 and broader reporting priorities.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration between Data Engineering, Architecture, Finance, Actuarial, Accounting, IT, and reporting teams.
  • Identify and prioritize improvements to data pipelines, platform integration, semantic layers, data quality, lineage, and system scalability.
  • Translate complex data and system issues into clear business impact and prioritization frameworks.
  • Ensure alignment between technical delivery and finance business objectives, including auditability and control requirements.
  • Coordinate the intake, planning, and execution of data workstreams across multiple squads and timelines.
  • Established product KPI's and success metrics and support regular progress reporting to leadership.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, program leadership, or enterprise data initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of data architecture and platform concepts: data lakes, warehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines, SLAs, data contracts, and semantic layers.
  • Experience working with finance, accounting, or actuarial teams in large organizations, ideally with an insurance or financial services.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to delivery.
  • Experience navigating large scale, regulated environments, and working within enterprise delivery frameworks.

Nice-to-have:

  • Exposure to IFRS 17 or other regulatory financial reporting frameworks (like IFRS 9, Solvency II, SOX, etc.).
  • Experience working in organizations using structured delivery models (enterprise agile, SAFe, or hybrid frameworks)

What’s in it for you?

  • A Total Rewards program that includes flexible benefits, work/life balance and career development programs and investment and retirement savings plans
  • Competitive pay and high-earning potential
  • All the tools, training, and team support you need to grow your career.
  • Flexible work/life balance options
  • Sophisticated RBCI and enterprise software tools and technologies to boost your productivity.
