As a Lead, Data Governance, Information & Corporate Security you are responsible for setting the strategic direction for data analysis within the organization. This role involves collaborating on the design of Data Products, ensuring data trust and adherence to data governance standards, and the maintenance of the data catalogue. The Lead ensures that Data Products are reusable, interoperable, and meet organizational standards. You will directly contribute to achieving business objectives by collaborating with stakeholders to understand their data needs and leading pieces of work to simplify and scale up our data solutions and capabilities.

Accountabilities:

  • Manage the data incident insights and metrics, including the underlying technology automation process for Data Governance that is shared with data owners, stewards, and technology partners across the fund.
  • Accountable for maintaining the Data Governance Standard, as well as organizing roadshows for stakeholders to communicate updates and changes.
  • Provide consultation to business and tech groups to advance their data products’ maturity and improve the experience for data users.
  • Support Data Governance communication contents such as reports and monthly newsletters to stakeholders, and maintain the new Data Governance site with recent updates on Data Governance activities.
  • Offer guidance and support on best practices for Amazon services, including DataZone, Lake Formation, and S2, to assist the Data Governance team.
  • Regularly connect with business partners to build strong relationships, comprehend their data challenges, and collaborate with tech teams for solutions.
  • Work with the vendor data team to develop standards for vendor datasets.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand business requirements, align analytical efforts with organizational goals, and ensure the relevance and impact of data analysis initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree or college diploma in a related field.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working with a variety of analytical tools and visualization software.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the data lifecycle, including experience with data modeling, metadata, and data quality and governance.
  • Experience in analyzing, manipulating, transforming, and interpreting datasets, and building data products in a data mesh architecture.
  • Exposure to data modeling, data architecture, data engineering, data analysis, and data science (familiarity with ETL tools, data warehousing, big data architecture, and cloud constructs).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
