Job summary

Nors in Edmonton, Alberta, is hiring a Shop Technician - Lead Hand. You will assist the Service Supervisor with day-to-day planning, diagnose and repair crane equipment, and perform hands-on shop tasks. You’ll also coach apprentices and uphold safety and quality standards.

The role is unionized, full-time, permanent, with a competitive package including health and dental, and RRSP. Red Seal certification and 2–5 years crane experience are required.

Qualifications

• Red Seal or Journeyman Technician Certification.
• 2-5 years related experience.
• Solid knowledge of Crane equipment systems and repairs.
• Good communications skills with customers, peers and supervisors.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications.
• Committed to continuous learning.
• Strong technical background and capable of communicating with technicians and customers regarding parts and service.
• Health & Safety Knowledge – OH & S rules and regulations guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day planning, organization and workflow alongside Service Supervisor.
• Perform crane diagnostics and repairs and hands-on shop work.
