Job summary

Saskatchewan Health Authority is seeking a Community Mental Health Nurse Supervisor/Educator in Saskatoon. The role reports to the manager of mental health and addiction services and involves supervising nursing staff, providing leadership, mentoring, and driving professional development and program goals.

You will research best practices, educate nurses on standards, and provide clinical supervision to ensure high-quality care within the mental health services program.

Qualifications

• 3 yrs exp in a MH setting working with clients with acute/chronic mental illness.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN).
• Valid Class 5 driver's license.
• Registered/eligible with College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of SK - CRPNS.
• Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate nursing staff and provide leadership.
• Act as a role model and mentor to assist staff with professional development.
• Research best practices and educate community mental health nurses on best practices.
• Provide clinical supervision and effectively manage, support and sustain change.
