Job Description

We are hiring a Lead, Client Events to join our Toronto Client Development & Marketing Team. This role involves working directly with partners, business development, and senior management to plan and execute client in-person and virtual seminars, webinars, and social events. The ideal candidate has experience running webinars and is familiar with webinar and virtual event technology.

Major Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of client events, including seminars, webinars, social events, and sponsorships (both in-person and virtual).
  • Collaborate with partners and business development on creating event briefing documents to clarify objectives and goals.
  • Manage virtual event technology requirements, including CRM (OnePlace), CMS (WordPress), Zoom, and ON24.
  • Train lawyers and guests on the ON24 platform and handle event logistics on the day of events.
  • Coordinate with the writing team on drafting event invitations.
  • Collect and analyze post-event surveys and feedback, and arrange follow-up actions.
  • Evaluate and ensure client events are on-brand and consistently delivered.
  • Develop relationships with external vendors supporting the firm’s event program.
  • Some overtime may be required for evening social events.

Position Requirements

Education and Experience

A college diploma or university degree is required. A minimum of 5 years of experience in event planning and execution, preferably in a corporate environment. Experience in legal or professional services is preferred. Equivalent education, training, and experience may be considered.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong background in event management, with knowledge of planning principles, methods, and techniques.
  • Experience with event technology such as ON24, Zoom, and CMS platforms.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and attention to detail.
  • Bilingual (English / French) is a strong asset.

Our current work arrangement is hybrid, requiring in-office presence with flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week.
