Job summary

First Onsite Restoration is seeking an experienced Carpenter (Carpenter III) to lead restoration and rebuild projects with a focus on quality and safety. You will mentor crew members, interpret blueprints, and manage complex framing, finishing, drywall, flooring, roofing, and cabinetry tasks.

You’ll collaborate with Project Managers, ensure accurate material planning, and uphold high workmanship standards on residential and commercial sites across Canada.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of carpentry or construction experience in restoration or a related industry
• Journeyperson certification in carpentry preferred
• Advanced knowledge of framing, finishing, drywall, flooring, roofing, siding, and cabinetry installation
• Proven ability to read blueprints, apply construction math, and plan material needs accurately
• Skilled in the safe use of hand and power tools with strong attention to quality and detail
• Knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, safety practices, and cost awareness
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to support and guide others
• Proficient in using mobile devices and Microsoft Office applications
• Valid full class driver's license and clear driver's abstract depending
• Fit test and other safety certifications
• Must be able to work overtime, on weekends and participate in rotating on-call schedule
• Ability to complete work activities that may involve material handling, lifting, climbing, and the use of personal protective equipment including respirators, safety footwear, and other required gear

Responsibilities

• Owns work from start to finish and plans daily tasks
• Reviews blueprints and tackles framing, drywall, flooring, siding, roofing, and cabinetry
• Ensures precision and safety in measurements and installations
• Leads and guides other skilled trades to keep projects on track
• Works with Project Managers on complex restoration and rebuilds
• Transforms fire-damaged homes and restores commercial spaces with quality craftsmanship
