Job summary

SIROY is seeking an experienced journeyman carpenter to join our Montreal-area teams. You will lead on-site with your crew, read blueprints, select materials, and drive projects forward while maintaining quality.

We value practical leadership, hands-on skills, and the ability to mentor apprentices. This role covers new construction and major renovations across Montreal to Mont-Tremblant, with an emphasis on high-end homes.

Qualifications

• Hold journeyman carpenter-joiner card and several years of trade experience.
• Experience as a team leader, foreman, or in a similar role.
• Master construction tools and methods; able to read blueprints fluently.
• Autonomous, organized, and capable of making decisions.
• Able to mentor apprentices and carpenters.

Responsibilities

• Organize and distribute the team's work.
• Read and interpret construction plans and details.
• Plan materials, tools, and next steps.
• Ensure the quality and progress of the work.
• Identify problems quickly and find solutions.
• Communicate effectively with the superintendent.
• Mentor apprentices and carpenters.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized worksite.
