The Radiation Treatment Program (RTP) aims to improve the quality and accessibility of radiotherapy for the treatment of cancer across Ontario. The RTP is dedicated to ensuring timely and coordinated treatment that is safe, evidence-based, and technologically innovative. The RTP continuously collaborates with various stakeholders across the province to provide high quality care to individuals with cancer in Ontario.

Reporting to the Group Manager, the Lead, Canadian Partnership Against Cancer Project (CPAC), RTP position is an exciting and multi-faceted opportunity to apply your leadership skills, health care knowledge, research abilities, as well as program and project management knowledge to initiatives that will improve the care of individuals with cancer province-wide. This role will primarily focus on data standardization in radiation oncology across Ontario.

Here is what you will be doing:

  • Leads and project manages the provincial adoption of AAPM TG-263 guidelines and recommendations.
  • Directly connects and works with collaborators in Nova Scotia focused on data standardization initiatives.
  • Works with the Group Manager or delegate to define objectives and standards, prioritize key activities, and deliverables.
  • Develops the required frameworks, processes, and tools to effectively execute initiatives.

Here is what you will need to be successful:

Education and Experience

  • A master’s degree in health policy, health sciences, health administration, or a related field of study such as radiation therapy.
  • 6-8 years of overall work experience in a similar capacity is required.
  • Familiarization with radiation-specific activities preferred.
  • Work experience and understanding of Ontario’s radiation treatment programs and processes are preferred.
  • Experience facilitating Communities of Practice/equivalent and engagement with clinicians preferred.
  • Demonstrated successful project management and change management experience.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to prepare briefing notes, reports, and deliver effective presentations.
  • Strong relationship building skills, with demonstrated experience engaging and building consensus amongst diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience managing multiple, complex projects including allocating resources and negotiating timelines.
  • Detail oriented with excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Team player who values collaboration.

Location: Toronto, Ontario (currently hybrid; subject to change)

Employment Type: Temporary + (Fixed Term) Full time

Contract Length: 12 Month(s)

Salary Band: Band 6
