Job summary

AIMCo, Alberta Investment Management Corporation, is seeking a Lead Business Systems Analyst (SimCorp Dimension) to join the Application Delivery team. You will lead analysis, design, and implementation of SimCorp Dimension enhancements and strategic initiatives that support AIMCo's investment platform.

In this role, you will collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and vendor partners to deliver scalable, sustainable solutions while ensuring production stability and project success

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in investment management, capital markets, pension funds, or financial services.
• 3+ years of experience with SimCorp Dimension solution design, requirements gathering, or implementation activities across project or platform initiatives.
• 3+ years of experience with SimCorp integration modules including Filter Toolbox, Data Extractor, Communication Server, Batch Job Groups, and Services.
• 3+ years of experience with SimCorp Dimension's Investment Book of Records module and financial instrument lifecycle events.
• Strong understanding of investment operations, accounting principles, and trade lifecycle processes.
• Experience participating in project delivery, solution implementation, or platform enhancement initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Global Technology & Data (GTD) agile teams to deliver SimCorp Dimension project initiatives.
• Lead SimCorp technical solution design activities using core native SimCorp functionality.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, evaluate options, and define scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and vendor teams to design and implement platform enhancements.
• Support major platform initiatives, upgrades, and strategic technology projects.
• Provide technical leadership during project delivery and implementation activities.
• Support production stability and provide expertise during complex issue resolution activities when required.
• Identify risks and implement controls that improve platform reliability and long-term sustainability.

In this role, you will lead the analysis, design, and implementation of SimCorp Dimension enhancements and strategic initiatives that support AIMCo's investment management platform. Working closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers, operations teams, and vendor partners, you will help shape the future evolution of the platform by delivering scalable, sustainable, and business-focused solutions. What You Will Do

What We Are Looking For

You are an experienced business systems analyst with strong SimCorp expertise, excellent stakeholder management capabilities, and a proven ability to translate business requirements into practical technology solutions.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience within investment management, capital markets, pension funds, or financial services industries.
• 3+ years of experience with SimCorp Dimension solution design, requirements gathering, or implementation activities across project or platform initiatives.
• 3+ years of Experience working with SimCorp integration modules including Filter Toolbox, Data Extractor, Communication Server, Batch Job Groups, and Services.
• 3+ years of experience working with SimCorp Dimension's Investment Book of Records module and financial instrument lifecycle events.
• Strong understanding of investment operations, accounting principles, and trade lifecycle processes.
• Experience participating in project delivery, solution implementation, or platform enhancement initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to excellence, transparency, humility, integrity, and collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with architects, developers, and vendor partners to design large-scale solutions.
• Experience operating within Agile delivery teams.
• Experience coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT) or test management activities for large-scale SimCorp releases.
• Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to junior business systems analysts.
