The Role

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will guide and contribute to the end-to-end design, development and support of value-add technology solutions and products. You will provide technical leadership, drive engineering excellence within your team, and influence engineering practices across the Technology & Data department.

Accountabilities

• Design, build, test and support end-to-end technology solutions that enable complex business capabilities, working in an Agile environment with business and Technology & Data partners
• Drive engineering excellence and continuous improvement, providing technical leadership and coaching within the team and influencing improvements across teams
• Apply advanced understanding of the technology landscape and the business capabilities it supports to provide technical guidance and inform solutions
• Foster agility and innovation through experimentation and early feedback, ensuring solutions remain responsive to evolving business needs
• Frame complex problems clearly, engage colleagues in thoughtful problem-solving and build support for well-reasoned recommendations
• Facilitate cross-team root-cause analysis and adhere to Agile software development lifecycle practices
• Build strong relationships across business, technology and vendor partners while fostering mentorship, feedback, learning and professional growth

What You Bring

• Undergraduate degree or college diploma in a related field, such as Engineering or Computer Science
• 6+ years of relevant experience
• Extensive programming experience using languages such as Python, C++ and Java
• Experience supporting platforms within capital markets or financial services
• Strong understanding of software development practices, including version control, testing methodologies and Agile development
• Demonstrated ability to write clean, readable and well-documented code, with strong attention to detail and adherence to coding standards
• You are motivated to contribute to something larger than yourself, approach complex challenges with rigor, and hold yourself to high standards in a collaborative, performance-driven environment.
