Job summary

Associated Engineering, a proudly Canadian, Employee-owned company, is seeking an experienced Bridge Engineer to join our Edmonton or Calgary office. You will lead the structural team, perform analysis, design, calculations and drawings, and manage projects within budget and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, P.E. with APEGA, and 5+ years of bridge experience in consulting.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer with APEGA.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in bridge engineering within consulting.
• Strong planning, organisation and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Leading the structural team in analysis, design, evaluation and preparation of calculations and drawings.
• Preparing technical reports following analysis, modelling and design calculations.
• Preparing proposals, bid and contract documentation.
• Monitoring, controlling and reporting project status internally and externally.
• Assisting in financial arrangements for projects including fee forecasting and allocation.
• Providing guidance and mentoring to junior staff.
