Job Description

As a Lead Auditor, you will be involved in monitoring quality, safety, and security by establishing and managing schedules for internal and external audits, including interdepartmental and IOSA audits. This position does not involve employee management. It primarily consists of coordinating auditor activities, which accounts for approximately 60% of the time. The remaining 40% is dedicated to conducting audits.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and follow up annual audit schedules, including those for SMS, flight operations, technical operations, ground operations, security and suppliers;
  • Assign auditors according to their field of expertise and team workload;
  • Carry out changes to the audit schedules as needed throughout the year;
  • Coordinate the necessary pre-audit activities with our station representatives, such as access to restricted areas;
  • Conduct audits, which will account for approximately 25 to 40% of your workload. When carrying out audits, you will be performing tasks normally assigned to auditors, ensuring compliance with established processes;
  • Support and guide new auditors based on your expertise;
  • Collaborate with the Manager, Audit Programs, in any activity required for the management and effective performance of audits while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and IOSA program standards;
  • Collaborate with the various sectors involved in audits;
  • Assist your manager in their tasks and accomplish any other quality assurance projects and activities assigned to you.

Qualifications

  • University or college degree in a related field;
  • Minimum seven (7) years’ experience in an aviation-related field;
  • Three (3) years’ experience as an auditor (IOSA an asset);
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills;
  • Capacity to exercise objectivity and diplomacy;
  • Strong communication skills as well as proficiency in both written and spoken English and French
  • Computer skills : MS Office 365 Suite.
  • Additional Information

  • A good knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate frequently in English, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders in Quebec, the rest of Canada, and internationally.
