Aviva Canada is seeking an experienced actuary to lead pricing and ratemaking work, shaping rate indications and profitability strategies. You will collaborate with Product, Underwriting, and Distribution to drive pricing initiatives and mentor junior analysts.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, math or statistics.
ACAS/FCAS designation in progress or in pursuit.
Minimum 4 years of P&C work experience; senior analyst experience preferred.
Focus on enhancing the customer experience.
Actuarial curiosity to learn and explore new solutions.
Strong mathematical and statistical background.
Proficiency in programming.

Responsibilities

Lead development, enhancement, and monitoring of pricing models and ratemaking processes.
Analyze portfolio performance, market trends, and competitive dynamics to identify pricing opportunities.
Develop actuarially sound rate indications to support profitability and growth.
Collaborate with Product, Underwriting, Distribution, Claims, and Business Development partners on pricing initiatives.
Coach junior staff and serve as a technical mentor to analysts.
