The Role

We are currently searching for an LCBO AR Administrator, reporting to the Supervisor, AR LCBO Wholesale. This is a12-month, full-time contract opportunity. This position is responsible for timely reconciliation of financial transactions with the Liquor Control Board of Ontario.The role involves identifying and resolving discrepancies between delivery and payment data, coordinating with various stakeholders to address issues, and managing accounts receivable collections for outstanding payments.

Location

Our Corporate Office is located in Bolton, ON. We offer a hybrid work model with visits into the office a minimum of twice per week and on an as-needed basis depending on the role and function.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Reconcile and isolate discrepancies for the individual LCBO store outstanding based the monthly AR aging.
  • Investigate and analyze the root cause of discrepancies between delivery data and payment data – pricing vs quantity etc.
  • Coordinate adjustments with operational centers
  • Monitor collection and payment status with LCBO and obtain issue resolution in a timely manner
  • Validate the weekly LCBO variance files and provide the required documentation to the LCBO
  • Fulfill LCBO POD requests
  • Work with LCBO to resolve past due accounts receivables
  • Match and clear payments to AR open items - SAP billing documents with payments and adjustments
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of AR data, payment postings and adjustments
  • Raise tickets for system errors regarding SAP billing documents and payment posting
  • Process billing of invoices for miscellaneous LCBO activities
  • Provide weekly reconciliation status report to management
  • Creating journal entries and loading into SAP
  • Provide internal and external auditor requirements and assist in supporting the audits as needed
  • Back up support for other roles within Brewer Accounting especially daily payment processing
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned
Who You Are - Your Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Education
  • Post-secondary degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience
  • At least 3 years experience with high volume data mining, data reconciliation, or data analytics
  • Past finance background is preferred
Skills
  • Strong skills using Excel, creating and working with complex worksheets
  • Experience in ERP accounting systems such as SAP is an asset
  • Excellent levels of communication both verbal and written
  • Quick learner, with ability to maneuver and cope with dynamic working environments
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Capable of managing time effectively, working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Capacity to manage high volume of transactions and data
  • A proven results-oriented track record for problem solving and issue resolution in a timely manner
  • Ability to work outside the normal hours during month-end and other peak periods
