We have the perfect position for you!
Our client, the Association québécoise de la production médiatique (“AQPM“), represents and supports independent production companies in cinema, television, and web industries. It includes 150 Quebec-based companies among its members, whose productions are recognized both locally, in Quebec and internationally, as well as approximately forty production managers. With nearly 60 years of service to its members, the organization currently employs around fifteen full-time staff members at its headquarters in downtown Montreal.
To continue meeting the needs of producers, AQPM is seeking a labour relations advisor to join its team. Reporting to the Director of Labour Relations and Legal Affairs, you will play a key advisory role for members regarding the application of various collective agreements and the management of situations specific to the production environment. In collaboration with the team, you will actively participate in preparing for collective bargaining negotiations, with the potential to eventually serve as a spokesperson. You will also be responsible for handling grievances: assessing the likelihood of success, negotiating settlements, or working with external lawyers during hearings, as needed. Finally, you will provide support to members on workplace health and safety matters.
Do you have at least 3 years of relevant experience in labour law or labour relations, along with strong negotiation skills? Are you looking for a friendly and stimulating work environment, while still maintaining a balance that is often hard to achieve in this field? If you are bilingual and a member of the Quebec Bar, contact us today to learn more! Ref.: #33631
