Job Details

Lerners is seeking a Law Clerk to support the Real Estate and Land Development practice group in London, Ontario, focusing on commercial real estate. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of relevant experience. This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days in the office or as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Opening & closing files.
  • Conducting conflict searches.
  • Inputting files into Unity.
  • Maintaining an effective BF system.
  • Handling commercial real estate and financing deals.
  • Ordering title searches, corporate searches, and municipal reports.
  • Ordering payout statements on sale & mortgage files.
  • Preparing real estate and financing transactions for closing.
  • Finalizing reports for clients and financial institutions.
  • Managing billings.
  • Following up on undertakings and outstanding items.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in residential and commercial real estate transactions.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and subject matter.
  • Strong knowledge of Teraview and related title and Unity matters.
  • College diploma or university degree in a related field is an asset.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
