Ford Credit Company Canada (FCCC) is seeking a Law Clerk to join its Legal team located at our corporate headquarters in Oakville, ON.
The successful candidate will be highly organized with a strong desire to learn and will provide essential support to FCCC's Legal team.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Law Clerk Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years' experience as a Corporate or Litigation Law Clerk (private practice or in-house)
- Understanding of corporate governance, finance, and commercial lending documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, legal practice management software, and legal research platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to navigate legal databases and assess legal issues critically
- Capability to manage multiple priorities and maintain meticulous records
- Familiarity with federal and provincial corporate statutes and procedures
- Knowledge of corporate secretarial practices and minute book management
- Experience with financial services legal documentation is a plus

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities include:
- Corporate Secretarial Support: Manage corporate minute books, filings, license renewals, and maintain officer/director records. Assist with organizing Board and Committee meetings, including notices, financial statements, and meeting materials. Prepare corporate resolutions and consents.
- Dealer Loan Documentation: Coordinate with external counsel on documentation for loans and credit lines to dealers, support mortgage and construction loan documentation.
- Project Assistance: Support legal, treasury, and tax initiatives; liaise with external counsel on Canadian corporate matters.
- Funding Transaction Support: Assist with Canadian funding transactions, document review, signatures, and corporate filings.
- Marketing Material Review: Conduct initial legal review of marketing materials and communications.
- Procedure Review: Review procedures for the Customer Service Centre and dealer financing correspondence.
- Originations Support: Provide support to the Originations team regarding contract inquiries.
- Legal Department Support: Administrative support and project assistance to the VP-Legal and legal department.
