Job summary

A leading company in food and facilities services is seeking a laundry worker to manage linen processing and quality control. The role involves sorting, operating laundry equipment, and maintaining cleanliness standards. Ideal candidates will have experience in high-production environments and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Job description

Job Responsibilities
  • Receive and sort soiled linen into designated classifications.
  • Operate automatic cart washer and remove linen carts from the exit.
  • Operate flatwork ironer, small piece folders, and fold linen following standards. Process specialty items.
  • Ensure quality control and that linens meet customer expectations. Refer issues to lead or supervisor.
  • Label linen distribution carts properly and cover all linen carts prior to transport.
  • Fold and store linen to maintain cleanliness standards.
  • Assist truck driver with loading linen and materials.
  • Report supply levels to lead or supervisor.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of work area.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in high-production laundry preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and maintain good working relationships.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to understand and apply guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
  • Ability to organize work efficiently.
  • Physical demands may include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking and standing. Use of uniforms and PPE may be required.
Additional Information

Potential exposures include infectious disease, electrical equipment, burns, blood contact, heat and humidity, mechanical equipment, and sharps.
