Park Place Seniors Living, Inc. invites applications for a Casual Day Shift Laundry Attendant at Villa Marguerite Seniors Community.

The role ensures high cleanliness standards for resident clothing and facility linens, performing washing, drying, labeling and folding with attention to safety. You will work as part of the Environmental Services team, combining independent work with collaboration to support daily operations and resident comfort.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit with ability to push, pull and lift at least 25 lbs.
• Clear criminal record including Vulnerable Sector check (within 6 months).
• Strong written and oral English communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness in the laundry area and ensure safety standards.
• Label, sort, wash, dry and fold clothing items as required.

CASUAL DAY SHIFT POSITION

DEPARTMENT: Environmental Services

LOCATION: Villa Marguerite Seniors Community

SALARY RANGE:

As per AUPE Collective Agreement Local 47 Chapter 38

Position Summary:

The Laundry Attendant is responsible to ensure that standards of cleanliness are achieved and maintained on a consistent basis to provide the highest level of Resident satisfaction, within established time limitations. The Laundry Attendant will perform labelling, sorting, washing, drying and folding of clothing items and will maintain the laundry facility as required. The Laundry Attendant should demonstrate constant awareness of safety hazards and report to the Manager of Environmental Services for maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Must be physically fit and in general good health with the ability to push, pull and lift a minimum of 25 lbs and be able to be on your feet for long periods of time
• Effective written and oral communication skills in the English language
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
• Clear criminal record clearance with Vulnerable Sector included (no more than 6 months old)
• Appropriately dressed
• Must be able to work independently, and as part of the interdisciplinary team
