Compass Group Canada is seeking a dedicated laundry associate to perform laundry services, clean and distribute linens to clients, and maintain orderly laundry facilities. You will sort, wash, dry, fold, and transport linens following approved procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping and/or laundry or equivalent combination of training and experience is an asset.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Responsabilités

• Perform laundry services including cleaning and distributing linens to clients.
• Sort, wash and dry linens following approved procedures.
• Fold, count and stack linens following approved procedures.
• Collect soiled linens and redistribute clean linens.
• Transport supplies including clean and soiled linens to storage and collection areas.
• Inspect linens for wear and tear and handle damaged items per SOP.
• Maintain clean, orderly, and sanitary laundry rooms.
• Operate laundry equipment (washing machines, dryers, linen press, clothing labeler).
• Work independently or in a team setting.

You will be responsible for performing laundry services including cleaning and distributing linens to clients.

• Properly sort, wash and dry linens following the approved laundry procedures
• Fold, count, and stack linens following approved laundry procedures
• Collect soiled linens along with redistributing clean linens
• Transport supplies to include clean and soiled linen to the appropriate storage and collection areas
• Routinely inspect linens for wear and tear, identifying worn and torn linens and following Standard Operating Procedure for damaged linens
• Maintain the commercial and residential laundry rooms in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition
• Experience in housekeeping and/or laundry or equivalent combination of training and experience is an asset
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Able to operate laundry equipment such as washing machines, dryers, linen press, and clothing labeler
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in a team setting
• Physically able to carry out duties of the position
