Laugh and Learn Children Centre is looking for a Full-Time Early Childhood Educator

Position Information:

  1. Position: Early Childhood Educator
  2. Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
  3. Wage: $20.00 ~ $26.00/hour (depending on experience)
  4. Number of Positions: 1

Job Duties:

  1. Plan and implement childcare programs to promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children and operate at all times in compliance with all childcare licensing standards.
  2. Responsible for the constant supervision, security, and well-being of children.
  3. Assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss problems/progress with parents and management regularly.
  4. Observe and respond to the needs of each child.
  5. Recognize behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents.
  6. Assist and encourage children to learn proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  7. Establish and maintain weekly and monthly activities.
  8. Maintain a collaborative relationship with co-workers.
  9. Perform other duties as may be assigned by management.

Position Requirements:

  1. Experience: Experience is an asset.
  2. Education: College Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education is required.
  3. Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E. Certificate.
