Located in the picturesque hamlet of Igloolik, Nunavut , Sivuniit Middle School serves the local community. The school has a population of approximately 165 students in a 7-9 setting with a staff of 24 . The school and community are steeped in a rich history of Inuit culture.

  • Experience in building respectful relationships with students, families, colleagues, and stakeholders
  • Experience in fostering student wellbeing and engagement
Collaboration & Professional Practice
  • Experience in planning instruction and student supports through collaborative approaches

  • Experience learning and contributing in a shared, community-focused environment
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary Range: $78,206 - $94,389 (based on experience)
  • Nunavut Northern Allowance for Igloolik, Nunavut : $22,579
Conditions of Employment
  • Applicants currently employed by the Government of Nunavut must hold a valid Nunavut teaching certificate.
  • Applicants from outside Nunavut must provide a copy of a current public-school teaching certificate from a Canadian jurisdiction recognized by the Nunavut Department of Education. Applications that do not include this documentation will not be considered.
