Description of Duties:

A & O Senior Immigrant Settlement Services requires culturally sensitive volunteers, who enjoy working with older adults in our Language Buddy for Seniors Program.

The volunteer:
- Helps older adult newcomers feel less isolated and lonely during the COVID-19 pandemic by calling once or twice a week using their native languages.
- Ability to communicate in languages other than English.

Skills Required:

- Must be culturally sensitive.
- Interest in working with people from different cultures, and with older adults.
- Ability to communicate in languages other than English.
- Ability to abide by Agency's Code of Confidentiality.
- Friendly and welcoming manner.
