KLon Services Ltd. is seeking a dedicated landscaping professional in Grande Prairie, Canada. The role requires interpreting blueprints, managing landscaping projects, and maintaining healthy gardens and lawns.

Qualifications

• Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Work Site

• On‑site work only – no remote option.
• Environment: Noisy, outdoors, all weather conditions.
• Setting: Construction company, rural area, greenhouse, remote location, various locations, landscaping construction company, nursery – horticulture, landscape contractor, residential, private company/corporation or industry.
• Own tools: Steel‑toed safety boots.
• Valid driver’s licence required.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints or other instructions to plan methods or sequences of operation.
• Plan the incorporation of landscape structures.
• Trim trees to achieve the desired pruning objectives such as crown cleaning, thinning, raising, reduction, restoration, espalier pruning, vista pruning.
• Manage landscaping projects.
• Prepare proposals.
• Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens.
• Apply fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides and other lawn care products.
• Apply various treatments such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas and injecting with treatment solutions.
• Assess the health of lawns.
• Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and disease.
• Plan and co‑ordinate the growth and use of plants for landscaping, ornamental uses and other purposes.
• Plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens.
• Plant and move trees.
• Tree removal.
