We are looking for an experienced Landscaper who enjoys being outside – rain, shine, or snow! You will be responsible for performing a variety of landscape maintenance tasks, including snow removal. If you have a great eye for detail, physically fit, and enjoys working with others, this role is for you!

Responsibilities

  • Ensure site cleanliness
  • Flexible on-call hours required between the hours of 6 am through 9 pm (including weekends)
  • Proper operation and maintenance of all landscaping equipment, specifically skid steers, small tractors, and sweepers
  • Ability to operate skid steer and perform regular maintenance and tune-ups including attachments
  • Remove heavy furniture, garbage and appliances from suites and around the site
  • Complete Requests for Maintenance
  • Snow and ice removal, sanding and salting, completion of snow and ice removal logs
  • Ensure lawns are cut, trimmed, watered, edged, and free of weeds
  • Apply weed killer and fertilizer
  • Ensure all trees, hedges, and flowerbeds are free of weeds and trimmed and dead trees are removed
  • Parking lots: sweep, wash, lines and keep all catch basins clear of foreign debris
  • Repair and stain fences
  • Building exterior: eves cleared, siding, lights working, signage clean and visible
  • Spring clean-up: hazard line painting, irrigation start-up, power washing, planting, filling potholes, etc.
  • Fall clean-up: leaf removal, close off (blow out) irrigation; winterize gardens and beds, trees trimmed, etc.
  • Operate and perform basic maintenance on different equipment related to landscaping
  • Painting halls, suites, parkades & other common areas
  • Complete other tasks and assist other sites as required

Experience And Educational Requirements

  • 2 years Landscaping Service experience required
  • Professional training and experience with landscaping equipment
  • Minor mechanical experience an asset

Technical Requirements

  • Working knowledge of English both verbal and written
  • Ability to operate a skid steer and payloader
  • Ability to operate smaller equipment including sweepers, lawn mowers, snow blowers and small tractors
  • Familiarity with technology is an asset

Non-Technical Requirements

  • Ability to spend up to eight hours walking, standing, climbing stairs, lifting
  • Ability to maneuver up to 90kg with the proper equipment
  • Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and with others in a team environment
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude

Additional Requirements

  • Must have a reliable vehicle and a clean driving record
  • Valid driver’s license required
