Job summary

Paysages Rodier in Saint-Hyacinthe, Canada, is seeking an outdoor landscape team member to plant trees, shrubs, install pavers, grade terrain, and lay sod. You’ll join a dedicated crew on varied projects that showcase craftsmanship.

The role is a permanent seasonal position with a stable daytime schedule, Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., 40–50 hours weekly, with overtime after 40 hours. Salary is competitive and experience-based.

Qualifications

• Good physical fitness.
• Able to operate small mechanical equipment (e.g., concrete saws, motorized wheelbarrows, plate compactors).
• Class 5 driver's licence.
• Team player and able to work with others.

Responsibilities

• Plant trees, shrubs, and perennials, and install ground cover.
• Install pavers and retaining wall blocks.
• Grade and level terrain.
• Install sod.
• Assist with carpentry, water features, and landscape lighting as needed.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plant trees, shrubs, and perennials, and install ground cover.
• Install pavers and retaining wall blocks (because great landscaping starts with a solid foundation).
• Grade and level terrain.
• Install sod.
• Depending on the team you work with, you may also assist with carpentry, water features, and landscape lighting.

YOUR IDEAL PROFILE:

• Good physical fitness (let’s be honest, it’s a free workout!).
• Comfortable operating small mechanical equipment, such as concrete saws, motorized wheelbarrows, and plate compactors.
• Able to drive a dump truck with a trailer (a Class 5 driver’s licence is all you need).
• Comfortable working as part of a team (because everything is more enjoyable when we work together!).

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Permanent seasonal position.
• Stable daytime schedule, (Monday to Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., except on rare occasions).
• Competitive salary based on your experience and skills.
• 40 to 50 hours per week, with overtime paid at time and a half after 40 hours.
