Job summary

Paysages Rodier in Saint-Hyacinthe, Canada, is seeking a results-driven landscaping crew lead to manage a small team outdoors.

You will guide 2–4 crew members through projects such as planting, installing pavers, grading, and installing sod, with a stable daytime schedule.

We offer a permanent seasonal position with 40–50 hours per week, paid overtime after 40 hours, and benefits after the probation period.

Qualifications

• Able to lead a small landscaping crew (2–4 people).
• Physically capable outdoor work and safe operation of equipment.
• Valid Class 5 driver's licence or ability to drive with trailer.

YOUR MISSION:

Lead a landscaping crew of two to four people in completing projects that include:

• Planting trees, shrubs, and perennials, as well as installing ground cover.
• Installing pavers and retaining wall blocks (because great landscaping starts with a solid foundation).
• Grading and levelling terrain.
• Installing sod.

YOUR IDEAL PROFILE:

• Good physical fitness, let’s be honest, it’s a free workout!
• Comfortable operating small mechanical equipment, such as concrete saws, motorized wheelbarrows, mini excavators, and plate compactors, you’ll be the one leading the way!
• Able to drive a dump truck with a trailer (a Class 5 driver’s licence is all you need).
• Comfortable leading and working as part of a team (because everything is more enjoyable when we work together!).

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Permanent seasonal position.
• Stable daytime schedule (Monday to Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., except on rare occasions).
• Competitive salary, based on your experience and skills.
• 40 to 50 hours per week, with overtime paid at time and a half after 40 hours.
